Food For Thought

It’s 2024.

I would say Happy New Year…

However, there is something about the Gregorian calendar that doesn’t add up.

Why would the New Year begin in the middle of Winter (Northern Hemisphere)?

Or the middle of summer (Southern Hemisphere)?

Some people might argue that it is when the days start to get longer (NH) or shorter (SH).

And I can make sense of that logic…

However, what makes more sense to you?

Starting the New Year in the middle of a season like Winter?

Or starting the New Year on the first day of Spring when everything transforms from hibernation and death to life and rebirth?

It makes you wonder why they called April 1st “April Fools Day”, right?

You have to ask yourself who created the Gregorian calendar?

Why did they create it?

And do you trust those people?

The Gregorian calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII and adopted by most of Europe in 1582.

As the years have gone by, it has become apparent that The Vatican (the West’s religious centre), The City of London (the West’s financial centre), and Washington DC (the West’s military centre), cannot be trusted.

If you can’t see that then you probably haven’t been paying attention.

You have your eyes wide shut.

There are 13 Lunar months every year (Moon cycles).

The Principle of Rhythm states:

“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to left; Rhythm compensates.”

You are a rhythmic being.

You operate in cycles.

And you must align yourself with the natural cycles on Earth.

You have to ride the wave.

Because when you ride the wave of the natural Rhythm of the Universe.

You are harnessing the powerful energy that comes along with it.

So, seeing as the Gregorian calendar has 12 months…

And there are 13 moon cycles every year…

Does the Gregorian calendar cause us to be out of alignment with these natural energies and forces?

Food for thought.

A Special Time Of Year

Christmas and the coming of the Gregorian New Year is a time when the majority of the population relax, indulge, and enjoy some quality time with their loved ones.

It’s always been one of my favourite times of the year.

I enjoy the high vibrations.

I enjoy the great food.

And I enjoy spending time with the people I love.

It’s a beautiful time of year.

Astrologically there is something special about it…

Starting from the 22nd of December, the Sun rises and sets on exactly the same axis for 3 days straight.

It isn’t moving toward or away from the Northern Hemisphere or the Southern Hemisphere.

God’s Sun stays still (or dies) for 3 days and is then resurrected on Christmas Day when it moves 1 degree towards the North.

Sounds familiar, right?

If you believe in energy and Astrology, there is something quite special about this phenomenon.

Food for thought.

Anyway…

Usually, I would be enjoying a cosy, indoor Christmas with my family like I have done my whole life.

However, this is my second Christmas in Australia where I’ve spent Christmas in the pool rather than on the sofa in a hoodie and joggers.

I love this time of year back home.

I really miss it and I really miss everyone I am usually with.

But spending Christmas in the sunshine and chilling in the pool with a kangaroo has made it a little easier to deal with.

Whether you can’t stand the “new year, new me” posts…

Or whether you are all about self-improvement…

Self-reflection, self-discovery, and self-improvement are for everyone.

REFLECT on your choices and behaviours during 2023.

DISCOVER who you are when you strip away the external programming and mind-numbing distractions.

IMPROVE and TRANSFORM yourself and your reality.

All you have to do is start.

Take the first step and the rest will unfold before your eyes as you progress down the path.

When you drive at night, your lights only need to show you 50m in front of you for you to keep going…

Take the first step and the rest will unfold.

Food For Thought

If you were to step out of your body and objectively look at yourself from a different perspective…What changes would you make?

What would you do if money were no object?

What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?

What actions can you take right now to place yourself on your highest timeline?

What are you good at?

What do you like doing that doesn’t corrupt your mind, body, or soul?

Who are you when no one is watching?

Who would you be if you didn’t allow the opinion of others to dictate your behaviour?

What limiting beliefs are holding you back?

What do you need to let go of?

What do you need to do to step outside of your comfort zone?

How could you be a better person to be around?

How can you provide more value to the world?

What brings you joy?

What challenges you?

What makes you proud of yourself?

What is your anti-vision for your life (what you don’t want your life to look like)?

What was the best thing you did in 2023?

What was the worst thing you did in 2023?

What have you learned?

What are you grateful for?

Are you an improved version of who you were a year ago?

Because if you’re not, then that should scare the shit out of you…

If nothing changes, then nothing changes, right?

No one is coming to save you.

No one cares about your life as much as you do.

So…

Do you have a plan of attack?

If not…

I highly recommend you grab a notebook and a pen or open up a Google Doc.

Because it’s time to invest your brain calories into improving yourself and your reality.

Ideally, it shouldn’t take a new year to roll around for you to take a step back and make some changes.

But if you haven’t been doing it…

It’s as good a time as any.

I know I have a lot of work to do.

I know I can be better in every single area of my life.

I know that life is a constant journey of learning, applying, and reiterating.

I know that I am doing the work.

The question is…

Are YOU willing to invest your time and energy into improving yourself and your life?

Fast forward 20 years…

If you keep living the life you are living right now, what does your life look like?

Seriously think about it.

I will leave you here with a quote that I absolutely love…

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ― Marianne Williamson
